The Story Behind Pramanna
Every year, millions of Indian farmers toil through seasons — sowing seeds in monsoons, nurturing crops through summer, and harvesting with hands that carry decades of knowledge. Yet the story of their work largely disappears the moment produce leaves the farm gate.
Consumers in cities buy vegetables and grains with no way to know who grew them, where, or how. Farmers receive no recognition — and often, unfair prices — because their work is invisible to the people who eat it. Pramanna was born to change this.
The name is simple: प्रमाण (Pramaan) means Proof. अन्न (Anna) means Food. Pramanna is the proof of your food — a digital bridge connecting the hands that grow with the mouths that eat.

Every farmer on Pramanna gets a verified digital identity. Their land, water sources, soil health, and certifications are recorded and publicly accessible via a unique QR code.
Crop Lifecycle Tracking
From the day a seed is sown to the day it's packaged, every event — irrigation, fertilization, disease control, harvesting — is logged with timestamps and geo-location.
QR Traceability for Consumers
Each batch of produce gets a unique QR code. Consumers scan it at the point of purchase to see the complete journey: the farmer, the farm, the events, and the harvest date.
Vendor Marketplace & Bids
Vendors discover verified crops and place transparent bids. Farmers see competing offers and choose the best deal — ending the era of exploitative middlemen.
Smart Crop Analytics
Data from thousands of farms will power insights: optimal harvest windows, yield predictions, weather pattern correlations, and soil health trends — all made available back to farmers.
Community & Certification
Farmers who consistently maintain organic or sustainable practices are flagged with trust badges. Over time, Pramanna will partner with certifying bodies to recognise verified sustainable farming.
